Introduction to Emergency Power Supplies

An Emergency Power Supply system (according to the IEEE) is "an independent reserve source of electric energy that, upon failure or outage of the normal source, automatically provides reliable electric power within a specified time to critical devices and equipment whose failure to operate satisfactorily would jeopardise the health and safety of personnel or result in damage to property."

Increasingly worldwide and in Malaysia we are facing a future with a degree of uncertainty regarding its power supplies. Power failures are becoming more prevalent and problematic yet there is an ever burgeoning demand for dependable power distribution and supplies.

IDC have held several EPS conferences in South Africa and Australia and the response to these events has been extremely positive. The Malaysian EPS Conference includes a line up of quality presenters and delegates will leave the conference with a wealth of knowledge on the topic of Emergency Power Supplies.

This two day forum in Kuala Lumpur will include local and international experts in the field. The presentations will include case studies and examples from a variety of industries. The topics covered will deal with the adequacy of emergency power supplies and the quality of the power supplied.

A not-to-be-missed event
This conference will provide delegates with the opportunity to network and talk to other experts in the industry about real practical problems, solutions and state of the art applications of the technologies. This conference is essential for anyone with a responsibility for standby power during a failure in electricity supply.
